There are so many alternative living space ideas that I don't know where to start.
Back in the forest where I hunt I find little shacks made from truck containers and old train cars. Those folks don't have maiboxes and may not even pay taxes. All Nat'l forest land. I doubt the lard ass county assessors go that far in the woods. Back in the day there a were lot of miners in the woods. The bean counters sure come here and take their pound of flesh!
I remember recently a girl lived in a minivan for 70 days when it got stuck and her husband walked away to find help. Survival is just water and fire and attitude!
80 years ago when my family bought this property there was a Finnish guy who lived in the sauna for a home. It was lined with bed mattresses. He lived on potatoes and wild game. My grandparents built new cabins and I have been restoring them.
I have spent many pleasant nights in only a pup tent 4X8
