wow....great observation:

Everyone must remember that the Torah and the Gospels were written by defeated People......the Koran was written at the beginning of there conquest.

not to mention, there were over 20 Gospels written....only 4 were selected (based on the churches necessity) at the Council of Nicea under the auspices of the Emperor Constantine in the 4th century....

IMO....it was mostly to get all the factions on the "same page"....

the gospels, the letters were written during a time when Christianity took off like wildfire across the Roman empire and became the dominate religion of the known civilized world

the very essence of those letters indicate anything but a defeated people.

If one attacks, one must overcome and win in battle
if one defends, one must only survive to succeed

The Jews have survived even genocide......that is not defeat.
