so I recently removed the links to the site from my online profiles. I did not realize that domain name registration information is made public<<<<
Sorry to hear this post LG, this new board on IHUB has been quite close to the ideals and terms of use of your original board set up in 98 (except for me dogging augie about too many indicators -ggg-)
I don't believe anybody has real anonimity who regularly uses the internet, there are surely hacks to get your personal information, even if you have never revealed it in chat rooms.
SI is a real cesspool, I applaud IHUB for keeping these boards clean and on topic, SI advertises "quality message boards", it's a joke. IHUB, Traders-talk, Crystal Ball have quality boards that keep people on topic, Silicon Investor has done it's best to run off quality posters and protect idiots, though they have the best base of posters since they were there first, the guys that started SI in their garage (-lol-) are probably rolling over in the $1000 bills and saying what a travesty that has become of their beautiful concept -g-
Investor message boards are not about freedom of speech, idbo, you have plenty of free speech on the internet, you can make your own home page and publish anything your heart desires, however
Investor message boards should serve a market of people interested in this particular subject and should be moderated, just as your behavior would be moderated in a public place. I don't think you can get away with dropping your pants and dancing an irish jig while your waiting in line at McDonald's to order a burger and fries, but i have seen people on SI do their own version of that in public -ggg-
Now some of your troubles are also self-inflicted, it takes two to tango, keep that in mind, thats my problem too -g-
I hope to God that none of your worries about personal assault are true, i don't think they are, but there are some nutcases in this world that get obsessed with people.
I have not always agreed with the you or the way have dealt with your detractors (so what, that's the general way of things, everybody has their take, that's what makes markets),
but in general I think you have brought a high standard, and a set of ideals, that most everybody should aspire too.
and thats why i remain your cyberfriend and amigo, going on about 5 years now.
deuce bigalow -g-
