oh... okay... just run quick malwarebytes and quick virus, for now. Later when Daughter and Mom aren't so busy with other important life stuff let it run full scans.

Well, better safe than sorry, right? Plus if it doesn't shut down then we know it was the virus causing the shutdown and that it "was" truly cleaned.

I would just run the quick scans for now but it wouldn't hurt to do a full scan again.
