Do you think that this problem she is having with the cursor disappearing and the inability to type is being caused by this virus? Because that is the only symptom on the computer. I notice that when it asks for her password there is NEVER a problem typing that in. It is after Windows opens that the typing function gets all screwed up.

I called up New Egg who informed me that the computer came with the Windows 7 on it but not with the disc. They told me to call Acer. Called Acer and the guy told me how to reset it to factory settings. He said it will wipe out any virus that is on the computer. He walked me through it - I haven't yet done it yet but basically I just open up the Acer folder, hit Recovery Management, hit restore and then hit "completely restore system to factory settings" and hit yes. He said it will take about 40 minutes. My daughter is diligently working on backing things up right now.
