Doesn't a PATENT just protect an IDEA...not a finished product? I believe, like you, that things are in process but it is a toss up as to how far along they really are since SA said it was their goal to have a monochromatic prototype by the end of the year. I assume he meant monochromatic for THIS year and not necessarily the polychromatic. Otherwise, it would have been set it in place for TDCP's original goals. They may have the IDEAS for a polychromatic prototype, as stated in the patent, but it may not be viable yet.
However, it is on the way, and problems are being solved in the lab day by day by high powered scientists with great knowledge! Go TDCP! Hopefully they will be over achievers and be able to finish much more than they planned earlier for the 2011 calendar year.
