Executives who were principals in acquiring a company via an LBO (as is the case for CLB’s top management) generally own many more shares than executives who were hired externally.

That statement seems way too broad to be really useful -- I'm thinking of company founders, for instance, as well as executives who've had a long tenure with a company.

Seems to me the more-salient aspect of his sales is that he sold almost half his position.
