I would think Evercore and Barclays would use this as exhibit A in negotiating fair value with Apple, Google, etc...just like the world wasn't paying attention when we were sub 40 a few weeks they aren't paying attention now. This report should have triggered a jump to at least $85 per share IMHO...thoughts anyone???

Call the rest of us doing analysis what you want ... these guys are pros! And, they are looking for between $118 (ie ~$6B) and $167 (ie ~$8B) a share. Hmmmm .... sound familiar??? ;-)

I love this. $118 - $167, and they are being conservative with a few of their assumptions IMO. 85% of the market - a big dog like Google or anyone else who can pony up that kind of cash will expect to be able to get almost all of the market. An 18% discount rate. In their wildcard, risks and unknowns, they state that they have not included any value for the video compression patents. It's great to see this from a company like M Partners. Moved my needle more towards greed and away from fear.

Instead of Uncle Billy on the CC, let's get the ghost of Billy Mays and light a fire under the potential bidders.

Looking at the diagram of who is suing who, many arrows point to/from Apple. Seems like
they could sure use more ammunition. IMO

My fantasy (right now clearly only a fantasy) is Apple gives us $100/ sh cash and one half
Apple share per Interdigital share. Interdigital engineers can keep doing what they are doing
and help create the wireless future. Apple derives great benefit, not just defensively, as
the chart shows they would, but they get to keep creating great products and will have all
those Interdigital engineers to help them.
