In sales, they call that 'bragging about the objection'.
When you know something has an inherent problem, in this case the big brother perception, you make sure to bring it up yourself and make light of it. If you can put a positive spin on it, all the better. This helps innoculate you against criticism, and makes it seem as though if it was a deal-breaker, you would NEVER mention it.
