Mschere re possible injunction against Ericy:
I too have thought that this possiblity of injunction against Ericy selling infringing products in the US was a tremendous wild-card and big-stick for IDCC to have. Some have thought that if we don't settle with Ericy, go to trial, and even if Ericy loses, then they will just appeal forever is unfounded IMO. I believe that if the court rules against Ericy for willful infringement of IDCC patents and/or collusion against IDCC, and Ericy then appeals, a court injunction will be levied against Ericy. That is why I don't believe that this thing will continue to drag on even if we have to go to court.
