That's an easy one... the block 2-4 drilling campaign found biogenic gas and a massive column of condensate, but no "oil". Sinopec needs Total to drill two more wells so they can compare data and hammer out a unitization agreement across all 4 blocks.

Ha!

My bet is on JDZ being more of an AKPO than a NOGO.

Going back to kownski remarks that the sand zones extend right thru our blocks it seems unlikely the gas and oil in them all run out right at the JDZ border.

Said it years ago, but why worry now? If after further drilling in Blk 1 they find nothing and decide to leave the JDZ there will be plenty enough time to worry then. No need to get an early start.

Badog, If Addax drills and hits oil in Block 4 but does not hit the stand alone elephant that would justify spending the money on infrastucture to bring oil to production. Addax/SNP has tied up major working capital waiting for blocks 1,2,3 to be developed.
Developing the JDZ one block at a time makes sense to me. Plus as each well is drilled new data is attained, helping located the next prospect. If plans are to create another Apko field, it would make sense to this investor to start in block one and methodically work your way to the furthest point.
but what do I know.

You keep twisting and turning brother.

Let me rephrase it: if they knew by now that those other 12 prospects in our blocks don't contain any commercial hydrocarbons... they would have pulled the plug.

OBO this, OBO that, they need to drill to find out.

SNP knows it, Badog knows it.

They said, that their problem is where to drill (first).

Now is it more likely that they will continue?

You always talk about guarantees, in the oil business, at 15 cents...

I say: lol.

The odds are with us that they keep looking for oil. And otherwhise Total will (probably, my friend).
