Whenever I have that same problem at SI, I get around it by going back to the post that the partially 'hidden' post is responding to and then clicking on the "read replies" link.
The reason this works is because the "replies" dont have the pop up ads that sometimes block a section of the 'original' posts.
It won't work, of course, if Les' post was a new message and not a response to a previous post.
I hope that little 'trick' helps you in the future.
