Thanks Dan, After a little searching I discovered a way to remove them in Firefox
1. Remove macromedia flash player
2. download and install an add-in for Firefox which allows you to block the ads posted in frames....

I don't like uninstalling macromedia because there are many sites that use it for non-advertising.
