Eventually the volume here will completely dry up, as interest in this company wains due to the illiquid trading among a handful of people.

Ok, so Fidelity for sure uses DTCC for their clearing/settlement? I did not know who Fidelity uses for clearing/settlement, I just assumed that they were big enough to use their own settlement services, I know my large brokerage does not use DTCC so even though they were aware of the block, my brokerage does not care whatsoever and allows currently buy/sell for SFIO.
