GNAU shareholders have shares in GNAU the company but not any direct ownership of GCLL shares. There is no "split option". Whether you bought GNAU shares last week, today or a month from now does not matter.
The purchase date of your GNAU shares would only matter if GNAU announced a distribution of GCLL shares out to GNAU shareholders, in which case you would need to own GNAU shares by the record date of such a distribution to qualify for it. GNAU has not announced any such distribution or even the intent to do one. They are under no obligation whatsoever to do so.
For now, the GLCC shares are just an asset on the balance sheet like inventory or buildings or accounts receivable. Period. Shareholders own a slice of the entire balance sheet but do not directly own any assets shown on it.
