Sorry, but no. Ignores for the public boards are designed to control what you read, not what others read and not what anyone posts. They are not designed to affect pubic posting activities nor is any change contemplated that would do so.

We do intend to separate each user's Public and Private ignore list at some point.

Unfortunately, if one could block your own post from being viewed by the people you have on ignore, once the exponential mathematical spread ensued, you would be left posting to about 11 people and seven of them would be admin ...
