The destruction of the Jewish state in Palestine, in the midst of the arab world, is the fundamental historical aspiration of the Arab people, the only one capable of providing to the arab leaders and masses the sense of historical achievement on which to rebuild their sense of destiny in a world which has left them behind. I was talking about that both sides having lost the meaning of how precious life is, not not having to kill innocent civilians specifically. BTW, have you served in the IDF Zeev? I know it's mandatory for Israeli citizens.

Zeev, In a much earlier post you said you did not want to hear anymore about the Dresden Germany firebombing because the Germans started it by bombing London and deserved what they got. I question that but will let it pass. I would like to know what is an innocent civilian? Civilians in Germany and Japan paid a heavy price for their governments actions even when the wars were coming to an end. When one perceives they have or are suffering grievous harm and resorts to violence they are only allowed to attack the enemy military? Especially when that military is far, far superior? We both know the Palestinians should have taken the Barak offer even though it was not the offer it appeared to be. We also both know that would have signed Arafats death warrant as well as not passing through the Israeli legislative process. I see no hope and expect WMD to be used by both sides at some point. Who will win? No one.
