In my opinion, we use charts to map out where a stock has been before. We can understand the human behavior in a particular security based on what has happened in it's mapped out history. (manipulated or otherwise in .pk) Noticing trends in what humans expect from a security based off of fundamentals is how charts are created. You simply cannot separate the two.
