Yes, Skype was technically break-even.

They were making money from operations, but had to service their debt.

Much unlike Pervasip, whose gross revenue is smaller than their administrative expenses, and cannot service its debt at all.

The consensus is that Ballmer grossly overpaid for Skype.
But he also was buying 500 million customers.

PVSP claims to have 200,000 "lines". But bizarrely, as its number of "lines" grew, its gross revenue was going down. Heck, maybe they are giving them away.

But, both the VOIP and the video business, VoxCorp is going against Skype. They're not even a minnow against a whale.

Pervasip has been going on about their "technology" for years. There is no evidence of that technology. All they have is an obsolete server park (thay have bought no new servers in years), one for which they have not been able to find customers for.
They have lost their "landline" customers, and they have made very little inroad into finding cell phone customers. Maybe that's because the company has no marketing budget.

VoxCorp also has no R&D budget, according to their financials. Think about it.
