meme/Re: Debt sucks

Debt sucks even more if you're in business for yourself. It's a necessary evil. It's the reason I'm currently down in the dumps.

Sorry to hear about your slump. Have you heard anything regarding that other opportunity we were disussing last week when we met?

You have to keep up on the payments to the creditors, otherwise, if you're late, they'll take your reasonable 12.9% interest rate and double it. Yes, double it!

Who's credit card company has announced to them that their interest rates will be dropping? What's that I hear? Silence? Why do credit card companies jump the gun to raise their rates when interest rates go up, yet work at a snail's pace to lower them when they go down?

BTW, you'd all be interested to know that 3 out of 4 people declare bankruptcy due to medical bills. Once the insurance runs out, and the savings run out, they turn to the credit cards...what else do they have left?

Having worked in hospital finance and patient billing for 20 years before this job, I have seen first hand how hospital bills can destroy a family's nest egg.

Hey, but these people won't have to worry about attorney's fees because our dear President stated that he will not sign any Patient Bill of Rights if it includes suing the insurance company.

Thanks for reminding me of that fact. I knew that there was a reason that I opposed this Bill, but I could not remember what it was. Score one for Big Money Peoples at the expense of the sick and destitute once again. I knew that Bush was Evil, but this is getting ridiculous. And, America is going to just Love "tort reform" like they pushed on us here in Texas...the upper 1% of America, that is.

Speaking of Texas, there is a good chance that we will be electing a Democratic governor here next year. I think that people are getting fed up with Bush's Texas, just like people will reject Bush the 2nd's America in a few years. The Repubs could not have S-elected a better guy. hehehe
