she has a contract with the record company...she does what they tell her to do (within reason) it's the same with all artist. Do some research on record companies and musicians...see who is really in charge.

BW paid a company more money than their competitors and the company told Jlo that she needs to hold this can in her video...she can't say no because she is obligated by a contract to do so.

She gets paid by the record company...that's what is in it for her. Unless she owns her own label, than she does what they tell her.

Thats why some artist do create and own their own label..b/c record companies own the artist, and some don't want to give up all their artistic rights to a company.

is it good marketing for BBDA...yes...if BW did try to create a legit beverage business than I would say this is a much better strategy than the Nascar thing (and I'm sure it cost less) but so far there has been no proof that BW is doing anything but selling shares.

I've only watched the video once, but the beginning looked like it was produced differently from the rest of the video. It seemed like the it was designed to be split from the musical portion and spliced into a commercial. The agency has some type of marketing campaign in mind. Personally, I don't get excited about this stuff since you can have whatever you want if you're willing to pay the price.
