I've got a smile on my face on this one. Talking about the time it takes for this and how time with your girlfriend leaves less time for proxy reading. Yep - this is why I often post either earlier in the morning or later at night. My kids both get a lot of homework that seems to need supervision and are very active in multiple sports.
So time for investments often gets squeezed into small chunks or late at night!
No getting around it, being an informed investor takes time and the ownership community might well be apathetic. Keep in mind though that things that get put to vote aren't operational, like hiring an auditing firm, but are things that change the structure of the company or capital structure. And as I've stated, I'm absolutely fine with the operational side of things.
