How many TeaParty politicians does it take to keep an old, energy inefficient light bulb in business? .. an adaption ..

1. One to deny that the light bulb needs to be changed;

2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb needs to be changed;

3. One to blame the Obama administration for burning out the light bulb;

4. One to arrange the invasion of any country rumored to have a secret stockpile of light bulbs;

5. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton for the old light bulb;

6. One to arrange a photograph of Bachmann, Joe Barton,, DeMint and Rand Paul
dressed as janitors, standing on step ladders under the banner: Light Bulb Change Broken;

7. One administration insider to resign and write a book documenting in detail how Obama is literally in the dark;

8. One to viciously smear #7;

9. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies to deny George Bush had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along;

10. One to erase the fact it was George W. Bush who signed the light bulb regulations into law in 2007.

11. And finally one to confuse Americans about the difference between changing a light bulb and screwing the country.

There are no CFL light bulbs made in the U.S., so it will be impossible to buy american. There was one manufacturer who said the bulbs would cost 50 cents more if made in the USA, so why the heck didn't they give us a chance to be responsible consumers?

Then one Chinese manufacturer was going to make them here, but was stopped by the concern over the mercury in the bulbs.

So the result is a law that will require us to buy foreign products, and even though the increase in energy efficiency is a good thing, if we ship the savings overseas it is annoying to our economy.
