There are no CFL light bulbs made in the U.S., so it will be impossible to buy american. There was one manufacturer who said the bulbs would cost 50 cents more if made in the USA, so why the heck didn't they give us a chance to be responsible consumers?

Then one Chinese manufacturer was going to make them here, but was stopped by the concern over the mercury in the bulbs.

So the result is a law that will require us to buy foreign products, and even though the increase in energy efficiency is a good thing, if we ship the savings overseas it is annoying to our economy.
