Maybe they were hoping having that extra bit on the balance sheet might help offset the negativity that they knew would result from being unaudited so that the share price wouldn't decline so much? I don't know, I wasn't around back then.
Just so everybody knows, a lot of my posts are just to garner discussion. Most people here are not only familiar with VTSI's history a lot more than I but with public companies in general. I'm not a strongly-opinioned person most of the time, so I'm not questioning your opinion of situations, just trying to expand on the idea. I've been wrong at least as many times as I've been right.
