Confusing?? Your statement, Frankly, while slower than we longs would like the project is moving forward day by day, No we have not YET seen the final results. However, I for one feel we are headed towards it. Confusing? NO, Not for people who understand the business world and how LLEG is in a business that has a lot of Gov't intervention. I am not confused!! MBB would have to be crazy not to have that 2.5 in his back pocket, OR an alternative to having it.

That announcement in the Paper that Berlin is now filing to be an intervenor, should hopefully help reduce any confusion on the committment of Berlin and MOST of it's people to do everything possible to move this forward.

PUC decision should be an easy victory for Laidlaw. One of the side effects will be rising real estate prices in Berlin. Berlin may realistically start adding population rather losing residents. I can see a scenario where a percentage of construction workers come to Berlin to build the power plant and end up moving there permanently.

Great time to be a real estate agent in Berlin!

Spence ... you are correct. Poor choice of words on my behalf.

The purchase and sales agreement HAS been signed. I should have stated that the "real estate closing" for the paper mill property in Gorham is expected soon. This is consistent with the reports as presented by NH Public Radio, their web site and other newspapers covering this transaction.

Thanks for the clarification and sorry for any confusion.

Here is a good read for anyone interested in the original announcement.
