Because China Gate doesn't own the patent, so your concern is whatever deal china gate has with the original licensor/inventor/patent holder. We have no idea what the deal is that China Gate has with them but you are right, WHY would Carl THROW 16 million away on a license that looks to be seemingly worthless? Apparently there are things we do not know and do not have the resources to find out about the relationship between China Gate and the original licensor. To say that ALL Carl knows about the license is in the filings is absurd. IMHO We can speculate speculate speculate, and if we knew everything you guys wanted to know about the license this stock would not be a penny stock and I am banking on a HUGE RETURN when this information is released with a contract

Its a risk that we all knew and I personally am willing to take.

There might be a patent and what the original licensor thinks about what Viaspace is doing with their IP is an UNKNOWN of information we do not have access to. Perhaps all the original licensor wants is royalties, but they dont want to do the work to make it a world leading biofuel. You honestly think Carl threw 16 million at something that was that big of a gamble? I again, am banking on Carl knowing what he has with GKG. Carl is essentially branding this product just like this company is Miscanthus. Trademarks of brands don't protect much but they can be awfully important to stay ahead of the competition.
