Robert, my guess...is that we already kinda know the answers =)... All these times, they used air shares to fill our buy orders...and now...they don't have any more air shares to pay for the dividends... 1 + 2 doesn't equal 5! We asked to buy an apple (real free fruit) and they sold us a picture of an apple...that's what I believe.
