I didn't state any specific gains because no one would have any way of knowing if I was telling the truth or not and it isn't important to the premise. There are many documented investors who follow the same method and have done very well over the years.

Picking a company like GE or WWY in the 70's didn't take any special abilities. They were obvious choices then. It isn't like picking MSFT or Cisco in the 80's where you would have to have some type of insight into a new industry. While picking MSFT or Cisco then would have shown greater gains than I received from GE or WWY, I had no way of foreseeing their skyrocketing growth. If I were gambling on those I cold just have easily put my money in those computer companies in the 80's that are no longer around. GE and WWY had been around a very long time and were the big dogs in their respective businesses. Not hard to see the potential in those. All they needed was for the population to keep growing and with the baby boom that was just coming into their 20's, that wasn't a hard call. Buffett made a similar bet on Gilette and succeeded handsomely. Razors just didn't occur to me back then.

You could pick these companies as easily as I coud but I can guarantee you that none of them will be found trading on the OTC market.
