The only hope MNTA has at this point...is becoming acquired…

MNTA itself is doing just fine and does not need to be bailed out by anybody. What your statement means, therefore, is the following: “The only hope Mpower thinks he has to make money on this stock is for MNTA to be acquired.” That’s quite another matter from what you actually posted.

Mpower,

I very familiar with the MS field. Quarter in and quarter Dew posts on this board the sales results of copaxone versus the rest of the drugs, and sales are impressive.

What we don't realize is 'why' Teva's sales are so good. It's not the drug's performance nor their pricing (which doubled over the last 5 years), but more it's because of Teva's relationship with the neurological field.

Teva will not give this up easy.

Oh, yes, it's very apparent that TEVA has "crushed" MNTA.

Let's review:

* MNTA received approval for lovenox and is now making money hand over fist, while TEVA has show itself to be incapable of getting approval and is now no longer even talking about approval.

I generally invest in smaller companies that I believe have the potential to appreciate substantially over time. Generally, it goes without saying that these companies' potential is based on threatening the postions of larger, more established companies who have a large "mindshare" on Wall Street. (Which generally shows the incompetence of what generally passes for anaylsis on Wall Street. See: Home Prices Always Go Up etc.)

TEVA, which started off with a huge advantage in terms of credibility on Wall Street, has expended a huge amount of political capital talking MNTA's stock down. At some point, Wall Street (populated by slow learners) will discover that the emperor has no clothes and MNTA's stock -- based on lovenox sales alone -- will reflect a more reasonable PE. Even a measly P/E of 8 puts us easily over 20.
