#1822 RE: Mutz #1820

Hadn't been playing either one of those Mutz, although I've watched CORSQ very casually for several months.

I don't have any confidence in the Banking Sector to begin with, so my judgment is necessarily clouded by that.

That disclaimed, (!) It doesn't hurt to compare them to another banking Q that came out of Q with the commons intact.

CIBH CIB Marine Bancshares. That was a little smaller, with just 7 branchs.

Last May they guaranteed the commons survival, came out at .15 shot to .58 and have trended down ever since seemingly stabilized now around .10 - .125

I don't know if CORSQ has made a final determination on their commons, so that fundamental issue defines the deal.

If they survive, they may undergo a similar 100-200% bounce, before trending down to their natural point of buoyancy.

With more branches that might justify something a little higher than CIBH's, but then you get into more of the specifics of their financial strength which is getting out of the realm of discussion here.

All comes down to your personal investment objective.

Bounce play or Long Term. Something to be said for either position but they both have different requirements.

If keeping any long term, it pays to know how many you want to hold after you have made your initial investment back with profit, cause that impacts how many you should have right now.

As far as JLIC, I vaguely remember hearing that Jesup and Lamont name but don't remember much about them. Back in that Financial Sector stuff I tend to avoid.

Looks like somebody wanted to "get them" in some sort of a vendetta move, and they did.

Survival of the commons, is the crux of the deal.

A revived trading brokerage VS an 11 branch regional bank.

Pretty interesting.

Even if JLIC cannot resume trading to generate income, their assets may still exceed their liabilities resulting in a pay out to shareholders. Unlikely, but there are a lot of ways that could go.

Could still be some nice % swings in there, but usually a lot of waiting in between.

Hope that helps some. Big topics to cover in a short reply LoL!
