Hardball
Let me see, how about the following:
1. Has managed to license triggering companies for 2g on the basis of a few patent claims that survived the Mot slaughter only because of a procedural glitch on the part of the Mot lawyers. In fact, of those 11 surviving claims, some were revalidated and still got poured out by Judge Sanders on the basis of no infringement. These same claims were held not to infringe the Mot products after the appeal. This alone should put him in the top of the class because he and his "cronies" took a knife to 9mm shootout and came out alive with added shareholder value. Further, as a result, IDCC with its little knife clutched in its hand is awaiting arbitration decisions against two AK 47 carriers.
2. In the meantime, IDCC is currently serving on several standards committees around the globe covering several technologies.
3. Somehow, the "cronies" have become a MUOS partner with General Dynamics and Ericy.
4. Presently taking LU to task via a subsidiary.
5. Managed to grow recurring royalty.
6. Beautiful balance sheet.
7. Withstood the SEC audit without a finding of internal weakness.
8. Actively engaged in value added projects for several technologies.
9. PLENTY OF CASH ON HAND
10. NO LONG TERM DEBT
11. ACTIVE SHARE BUYBACKS
Is this recent enough? Just wait for the arbitration ruling and see what has been amassed on the basis of 4 surviving patent claims after the Mot fight. If it turns out as I expect, even his loudest critics will have to acknowledge that he turned water into wine because of his tenacity and NUGGETS.
