I am facinated by the subject and I think the story has the same potential as say an NVEC (using nano-tech and constantly spinning electrons to keep your computer always on).
Both Sasol and Symntrolium have done well in the past few months due to the oil spike. All have great licensing agreements and Rentech just rents the equipment and says "good luck".
The amount of natural gas that is burned off is astronomical - and as gas prices ascend (they will be $3 a gallon by summer - still cheap by European standards), the economics makes more sense - like turning lead into gold!
