Yes, you're correct...the bulge occured from 2004 to 2010. I wasn't aware that it had subsided though.

However, I doubt if there would be much of an advance warning when it did go off. All it takes is a buildup of pressure and the magma finding a zone of weakness. After that, things would happen very quickly.

Of course if one sat around worrying about it there would be no end of things to worry about (meteorites, super-bug pandemics, etc.)

Sure puts the .6 degree increase in the past 100 years in perspective though. The global warming alarmists would soon forget their agendas if there was a marked increase in geothermal activity at Yellowstone.
