A working interest at 20%...30%...40%???
My question is why would you go in on a well like this without some agreement in writing...the Royalty holders got it in writing, why not give the shareholders some clarity for the sake of trust!
IMHO, they know "how much"...nobody's talking as of yet!

if you or I were to drop $25,000 and invest on drilling a wildcat well...yes, you can do that, if you don't believe me, just go online and Google it to see the ads... I would have an agreement to be paid my original investment as well as look at the seismic for a target and size of formation...
and then a percentage of the well barrels per day after that...a small percentage, none the less...
unless it were a dry hole, then I would have lost my initial investment...that's the way the industry works!
My cousin gave me that much DD!

do we have that here? haven't seen it yet!
I took a small hit here and...
andrewjoseph, I share your "sideline view" here...just the opposite of TMI...NEI!
For those of you here that don't get it, that's "Not Enough Information"! Something to think about, eh?
This may fly tomorrow, but I had to cut my risk to capital preservation in principal and wait this chapter of this story out!
if the next PR looks promising...then I'll be back!
Do not base your investment decision here on anything I say in this post...JMHO, of course!

GLTA,

Glen.

Too much being made of this percentage issue in my opinion.

You can bet the company has at least a well defined range of what their ultimate costs and interest will be. This is simply not a published document that we have been able to discover like the rest of the lease documents filed with the State of LA. However, all it would take is one non-shared item (permit fees paid by Kepco for example)to make the exact percentage incalculable until final costs are in, and each party could coyly state "We don't know what our percentage interest is. Have to wait to find out."

See why this can become silly? IMO, they know very well and we will know when they tell us. As many have indicated, this well has been fast tracked ahead of Sanders and is a bonus that it comes online at all, at any percentage.
