Money - the easy answer is cost. All that stuff around the turbine and blades costs a lot of money and is very heavy. That makes everything else cost more too, and then it needs even more money spent to turn it off and on. All this cost drags payback out way beyond it's competitors.

And "knowhow" - With all due respect, the past is EXTREMELY relevant. You only need to do a search of county records to find out Brock's honesty, integrity, and past dealings. I spoke with him personally on several occasions and he just reeked of SCAM, (and alcohol - but I digress).

So for 2 years Brock B.S.'ed his way through life with Windtamer. Saying all the things he is currently puppeting through you. And they were false. Before that he was busy B.S.ing people in other ways that are a matter of public record. If you reallly are a friend of his, that makes me suspect of you. To have been good friends for 30 years does not reflect well on you.

His stripes never changed color. His story is still the same. I personally don't care who says what about it - it will all be suspect. I can't believe he got this far with this current ruse.

Until the unit is tested by a body that is completely independent, producing AWWA ratings, it's all a theoretical mathematical excercise.

PLUS - You've never addressed tha fact that DOGS own numbers = payback beyond the average human lifespan. Performance may be great, but cost is going to kill this thing dead.

So, I for one am very disinterested in what his FUTURE holds. Perhaps he should just go do it, and perhaps you could find another forum to be his puppet. I for one vow to stop reading your posts. They are almost "Gerald Brock spam" anyways. Spam violates the TOU for this forum. As soon as you start pasting links to his website I think the moderator will be on to you.

TM$, the DAWT was originally patented by Grumman in 1979 and again in 1982. They sold the technology to Vortek in New Zealand in the early 90's. Vortek built a huge unit out of steal and concrete that had no economic viability. V7 went bankrupt and all of the Grumman patents have since expired. That is why I find it to be so ironic that GB still talks about "his patented technology"! You cannot patent a DAWT!!!!!!! only enhancements!!! GB did not invent the DAWT. The original DAWT concept was first evaluated in the 1920's. And since I'm on a roll BETZ limit is only relevent in relation to OPEN-BLADED systems. It does not apply to DAWT because of the shroud.
