To Whom it may concern,
I am concerned that you are spreading false
information in your article published April 5, 2005
entitled "Who is Making Money on CMKX". I'm not sure
if it is your own lack of knowledge regarding the
markets, or your intent to mislead uninformed
investors.
In the article, you state:
"Additionally, a company only makes money on their
initial entry into the market. This means an Initial
Public Offering or a Reverse Merger into the market
through a shell, which is what CMKM Diamonds did a
couple of years ago when they bought the CMKI shell."
That is simply not accurate. Companies raise
additional funds post IPO/merger via secondary
offerings, or financing activities that include equity
financing, the exchange of shares and/or
warrants/options for cash. This cash can be used for
a wide range of operational activities including
management salaries and bonuses.
You went on to state:
"Subsequent sale of stock is in the market and only
market makers and brokers make money from the
transactions. Therefore, CMKX has not made any money
on the sale of stock in the market since on or about
September 2002."
Again, that is not an accurate statement. Stock can
be sold to accredited investors and/or financial
institutions. Your statment would imply that you
believe CMKX simply gave away the over 700 billion
shares of stock that they currently have issued and
outstanding according to their own filings. Although
there have been no registration statements since 2002,
there have been 700 billion shares issued, and it is
probable that the company generated revenue from the
sale of those securities.
I suggest you do a little more research into post IPO
financing options prior to distributing misleading
information.
Regards.
