No they don't have to go through the resident agent, they can file from anywhere they have an internet connection. You could go make a filing yourself if you wanted to also commit fraud:
On your second points, I completely disagree. It seems obvious to me that the reason they pr'd the event so far in advance was because of the paragraph specifically dedicated to Dean's involvement (if any whether legally or fraudulently). Don't you think it strange that the same day the PR came out, somebody using Joshua's name suddenly made an amendment to the Articles.
Can't tell me that was a complete fluke!
I think they have learnt a lot from the past and are taking all the right steps to resolve these issues once and for all.
