I've had patients I've treated with Percocet and even Hydrocodone(weaker)who have been told by their pulmonary specialist to get off the narcotics as they are putting them in danger. Their dosage is not always that high. Add in Xanax or Valium and a longer acting compound like Morphine CR or Methadone and it is a strictly Russian Roulette situation.
