Mas: wrong...

If AMD can prove its case then why hasn't it? This ruling is very weak. The documents don't show anything like what you are suggesting. It shows a very biased japanese FTC interpretation of what happened. A interepretation that neither the US or EC has supported. The whole thing centers on discounts yet the pricing was not shown to be predatory.

If you boil it down, basically Intel is being punished for being too successful. Yes the headlines spin it a certain way but you clearly don't understand the real issues and are blinded by your AMD fondness. The only clear evidence shows that Intel gained marketshare in japan. Intel proved to have the better overall product for these companies. And consumers benefited from better pricing. So what exactly does amd get compensation for again??? Being a badly run business???

MAS, they aren't going to prance in and get a 100,000million dollars from Intel - past history doesn't show it. Wishing it isn't going to make it true.

Hopefully Intel Japan has learned a good lesson :) but I don't think it's going to amount to a hill o beans.
