#22740 RE: mimurray #22739

mimurray, yes, i've noticed the multi extra green ticks on the Advanced System Care on updating,
over double on the paid, and have considered paying, but all has been ok with the Norton so didn't.

One thing also noticed, again only recently, that my computer became slower more quickly with a fewer number of tabs open. To
fix that i've just been more careful to close tabs which is better anyway. Used to be hopeless with, lol, sometimes up to 30 open.

Yup, have been advised to do both the Quick, and the Full scan, and the regular updates. Before every scan, eh .. ok.

Thanks for the 'after scan reboot' tip, it's new.

Again, much appreciated you guys .. thank you very much ..

Oh, one final thing :) for now .. what about that green F .. free apps thing .. i should delete it?

Google has another big hit on its hands.

Google’s three-year-old web browser has overtaken Mozilla Firefox to become the second-most popular desktop Web browser in the world, according to the latest stats from Web tracking firm StatCounter. .. http://gs.statcounter.com/ ..

“We can look forward to a fascinating battle between Microsoft and Google as the pace of growth of Chrome suggests that it will become a real rival to Internet Explorer globally,” said Aodhan Cullen, CEO of StatCounter in a release on Thursday. .. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/chrome-overtakes-firefox-globally-for-first-time-statcounter-2011-12-01 .. “Our stats measure actual browser usage, not downloads, so while Chrome has been highly effective in ensuring downloads our stats show that people are actually using it to access the web also.”

Google’s Chrome browser rose from 25 percent of the browser market in October to 25.69 percent in November, while Firefox declined from 26.39 percent to 25.23 percent over the same month, according to StatCounter. .. http://gs.statcounter.com/ ..

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer was still number one and actually experienced a slight uptick in an otherwise continual downward spiral, commanding 40.63 percent of the market in November, up from 40.18 percent in October.
