We've heard on the news here (Canada) that flour sugar and other basics are supposed to double in price this year. We're going to lay in a good supply, since we have the room to store it.

I remember maybe 3 years ago(?) Costco was limiting the number of bags of rice and flour you could buy.

But making your own sugar from sugar beets sounds interesting if you have the land and energy to do that.

It was posted more for info then I'm going to do it. LOL!
If TSHTF then that knowledge come in great for me and others.

BTW. $80.00 today and still came up short filling my Van up with gas. And I had probably 3 gallons in it when I stopped. That hurts.
