Not as far as I know. And probably when Krazy Al joined the bar many many years ago, he was relatively sane.

You used to have other, older lawyers vouch for you when you sought to be admitted to the bar (get licensed). I don't know if that part of licensing still exists everywhere. Like Hodges, I was admitted many years ago. Once admitted, you stay admitted until the State licensing board says you can no longer can practice law (or you die or retire). I guess nobody has complained about Hodges' mental capacity.

There must be a very high level of tolerance for legal insanity in CA. Or, could it be that Hodges no longer has clients that are sane themselves? lol! ... eom
