Anyone slamming GLW on the basis of its optical components division is 2 years behind the curve. I don't have time now but this is not where the company is at or will be. I don't have any but it should be on anyone watch lists as a very sensible speculation if there is such a thing.
Jdsu otoh, will come out of this with at least twice and maybe 3x the market share they had going in. They are going to be damn close to monopolistic. These guys will have their day,although it could be (light) years away;>(
Check out Corning's debt coming due in the next few years That's why I question the recent ramp. I guess since they're selling assets the market will bring it up to book value.
