Jim Gower, a law professor, said, "Regulation should not be at a level set to achieve the impossible task of protecting fools from their own folly."

That's a fancy way of saying "A fool and his money are soon parted."

While that may be true, I don't think it should prevent good people from at least trying the best they can to stop fraud.

At that method, they've been doing a fine job for many years.

It may be that the best way for the SEC to protect people is to continue to offer them the 'practical experience' of losing money to scammers?
