Re: lol, and I thought we were making progress... ... We will continue to not agree on much, but certainly enjoy the opportunity to visit some of the issues within the framework of a certain amount of decorum
Speaks for itself.
This will not be settled until the exact content of feedstock is revealed.
The CC, the 8-K. They take unwanted plastic that others have to pay to send to landfills. Watch the CC, read the 8-K. Approximately 7% of plastic produced is recycled, much of the plastic that is recycled, is made into products that can't be recycled (i.e., carpet). Mixed plastics are unwanted, plastics used in shipping, plastics that hold car parts, plastics with paint, screws, all can be used by JBI. Most plastics with the little recycling symbol on the back are unwanted (1 and 2 are) such as recycle #5 (margarine containers and similar), are unwanted. Fact, no faith dynamics here.
Well there is some revisionist history here. The board has come a long way from denying the existence of other companies, but hardly have been able to "fairly" compare when presented. Go back to the posts re: AgriPlas, Agilyx for example (who by the way has a potential client close to Niagara Falls, remember?). There was very little honest discussion in that much less "balance."
I have no idea when those discussions occurred, I wasn't part of them, does not relate to me so revisionist does not apply to me. At the same time, I have not read the posts back then, I have no reason to believe those companies were listed and proofs provided as I have yet to see it occur on this board. I won't reach way back for an example, lets use yesterday. Posts were introduced relating to intertek, it wasn't introduced by the longs. We had to point out the company started 15 years ago, their first PR related to this competitive technology was in 1997, we had to post that they have spent 300 million on research so far. The only commercial application was reported by a "bear" a company that had to shut down after about a year in 2003 and are awaiting approvals. This is what I was talking about, it happens two to three times a week, it's a distraction but in the long run it helps JBI. I look forward to getting back to you on AgriPlas and Agilyx. Oops just had a quick look, AgriPlas use much of the same feedstock that JBI use. Does that help regarding your feedstock concern?
Does not clarify the primary issue-- remember the post when a conversation revealed the DEC felt JBI was not so forthcoming WRT feedstock?
A post, this is the primary issue. I remember a post where they felt that JBI didn't get information in, it was a process. Do you really think the DEC would allow JBI to start commercial production if they had any concerns about the feedstock. Do you think they would put their butts on the line and allow them to operate while the permit process is being completed, the first time any company ever, has been allowed to start in this manor, if they had concerns? It defies reason that you would claim that the DEC still has issues regarding feedstock. Of course you can claim it, I just believe it defies reason.
Regarding the recycling facility. What box, it opens up even more streams of plastic feedstock. The bottom line is that the DEC requires the feedstock to be inspected, to do this alone would be costly. A recycling facility, most tend to just break even, allows them to fulfill DEC requirements, open up feedstock steams, make profit with the wanted plastics and paper, and in the end have free feedstock. The facility can process 1000 tons per day, I need to confirm the percentage of plastic. Can have 300 tons inside at any time, outside is a different story. The facility is also ideal to house P2O processors (long term planning) and you can throw a rock and hit the fuel blending site. I have no problem being boxed in like this.
Having the recylcing facilty, the factory, the blending site, where can interference come from to hold up the business, it's a nice direct line, I wish you could see it.
As well, with the blending site, are you saying that JBI would be better off selling to a blending site, the blending site would purchase the fuel, blend it so that it can be used for broad commercial applications, they would then sell it for profit. You seem to be saying that JBI would not be selling it for the same amount, why, doesn't this mean that JBI gets to keep those profits instead of giving them to a blending site? Yes they could have massive profits from selling to a blending facility (the refinery issue is closed, the P2O process was improved, no need for refineries now), are you saying they should avoid additional profit streams? That would be a smell I wouldn't like.
The "family" issue is closed, I'm sorry you feel it "smells" and I'm sorry bears keep dragging this issue up, they can't prove allegations regarding the product, lets hit the company at a personal/or family level. They hired someone qualified, he left a good job to go to JBI, that is what is important. From now on I refuse to discuss it, it's a cheap way to make a point.
