#18899 RE: dirt digger #18897

having been in high stress situations
it's a little easier for me to practice
there's some good training DVDs and courses out there to be had

one thing anyone wants to avoid is hitting a civilian target....a friendly

Practice is good
Accuracy and knowing when accuracy can/will be compromised is something to definitely know
the long pull compromised accuracy for me
I wanted/needed to know just "what" compromised it
I found it was the excessive long trigger pull

When I compare, I always have at least one, if not several different pistols available to compare with

When I tried out the LCP
I had a Sig .32, a Sig 9mm, a HK .40, a Kimber .45 1911, a CZ-82 9x18, and a Polish P-64 9x18
for comparison

That was the day I lost my Sig .32 forever to my wife
and got stuck with the LCP
and that Sig is one sweet little pistol....grrrrrrrr
I still haven't found another one....dang it
One guy did a double spring setup for the sear spring on a P-64 and cured it's ills
made it sweet to pull the trigger
I want a single spring...and it's a long trial and error process when you have the time
BUT, if I can get mine set up nice
my wife is getting one of those and my argument will be that the round is more powerful splat than the .32
and I'll get my Sig .32 back....
hmmmm maybe a nice little Beretta
or If Galco EVER makes a friggin Executive holster that will fit a CZ-82
I'll get my Sig .32 back

The point is....no matter what you carry...you need to know your capabilities and your limitations
I say learn them....and know them
so one day an innocent won't be a casualty along with a bad guy

and while we're at it for the rest of the class....start with some cheaper ammo
then tighten up with practice with the very personal protection rounds planned to be used
because they'll shoot a little different

and the best part
it's all GOOD and IT IS FUN!
