I agree the trigger pull could be a little long on the LCP. However, for a gun with no other safety, it should be.
I would also think that in a high stress defensive confrontation, of which most people have never been in (me included), regardless of practice, you will be yanking on the trigger, at least for the first couple/few rounds fired.
With that, a gun like the LCP, w/ the fore strap activated CT and longer trigger pull could be of some advantage to "slow" things down enough to allow the visual register of where the first one will land.
Just some thoughts, not the gospel.
Practice and more practice will always help.
Also, an LCP, or any other gun is better than no gun, if there is a BG to be shot.
