Neat... Love that movie. I saw the original at the drive in when I was 11. Scared the crap out of me and I wired some curtain rods taped to the sides of my bedroom doors to a train transformer.... to keep the monster out of my room ...

Still remember my Dad finding them... "What the hell are thesrrgghhyaaaa ". The good part is my parents were laughing so hard I never got spanked.....lol

I just hope it doesn't suck :) Many times it seems that when they redo a movie (or in this case, make a new movie with the same characters/universe etc) that they (Hollywood executives) screw it up.

They end up making it for the 18-24 year-old demographic, and take a crap on all those die-hard fans that made the movie/tv series a hit for so many years.

An example is the new Star Trek Movie (which I didn't like at all). I'm a "puriest" Star Trek fan, and I found so many stupid parts to that movie I just can't stand it :(

Like going through a black hole, and coming out unscathed on the other side.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH.

Most Star Trek fans are (of course) Nerds! And all nerds know that you become "spaghettified" (or the Noodle effect)when you get close enough to the black hole. It even tears your molecules apart.

A mindless 16-year old might not have a problem with it, but a 42 year old (me) finds that insanely stupid. And most trekkies agree.

And there are so many other examples in that movie that drive me nuts.

Forbidden Planet is an Icon, for multiple reasons. I just hope they don't cast "The Rock" as the main character LMAO!
