Bandwidth is more than equipment, it also involves laying cable and only so much info can go thru before they need to add more. If it is so easy and there are no concerns then why did AT&T go to rated data plans?

You also mention comcast throttling the applications, that is the point. End users want more applications and the bandwidth to go with it. Comcast was questioned for doing that because of that simple fact, users want more applications to run on the hand held devices, not having a provider dicatating to them what applications they can use. Your argument is not reasonable, IMO.

That’s cute but enlighten me Sir, which knobs would that be and on which card would those knobs be on? That might happen on the backbone but not for the middle or last mile. Those data rates are pretty well defined now in the wireless arena. Otherwise if that were the case why can’t they turn up the knobs now and get more speed and bandwidth out of the current situation. If you haven’t figured it out yet you might want to try to understand this simple concept. “You can’t put 10 pounds of turkey in a 2 pound can,” sorry but that is no correlation to you.

Just a little insight also. MDGC's focus is to bring a fast inexpensive network to the outlaying areas. Which knobs will Comcast turn to make that happen? JMO
